Fall/Winter Trends 2026, Part 2: Barrel Denim, Leather & Lace

on

We're continuing our tour through this season's must-haves — three pieces that couldn't be more different, and that's exactly why they work.

Barrel denim is the silhouette everyone's talking about right now. That curved, rounded leg does something a straight or skinny jean never could: it skims the body instead of clinging to it, which makes it one of the most forgiving — and flattering — denim shapes we've styled in years. Pair it with a fitted top to keep the proportions balanced, and let the jean do the talking.

Leather is having a moment beyond the classic jacket. This season we're seeing it in skirts, trousers, and even soft leather tops that layer beautifully under blazers or oversized knits. It's an easy way to add richness and texture to a fall/winter look without reaching for another statement color.

And then there's lace — a fabric you'd normally save for summer, reinvented for the colder months. A long-sleeve lace top on its own reads elegant and unexpected; layered over a turtleneck, it becomes a texture-on-texture moment that feels effortlessly put-together. It's proof that a "warm weather" fabric can absolutely earn its place in your winter wardrobe.

Three trends, three completely different energies — and yes, we'll be back soon with styling tips on how to actually wear each one. Until then: which trend are you most curious to try?
